Canada Rocket Company
Canada Rocket Company (CRC) is a Toronto-based launch startup that emerged from stealth in January 2026 with C$6.2 million in seed funding, aiming to establish sovereign Canadian launch capability. The company is developing two methalox vehicles: R-1, a light-lift demonstrator powered by a single E-1 engine designed to deliver about 700 kg to LEO, and R-2, a larger medium-lift reusable rocket powered by seven E-1 engines and intended to carry around 6,500 kg to LEO. Founded by CEO Hugh Kolias with SpaceX alumni, CRC is in early development.
